This programme is a vital component of my educational project and is delivered in collaboration with an OCN London approved centre. The certification for this training is officially recognised in the United Kingdom and meets the OCN London Regulated standards, ensuring quality and credibility in Domestic Abuse Prevention and Early Intervention Training.
The qualification is designed for individuals who work or aspire to work in roles dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable people, community support, or direct intervention services. The programme offers both practical and theoretical knowledge on the early identification of domestic abuse and on safe, effective intervention strategies.
Learners develop applied skills essential for supporting at-risk individuals and gain a comprehensive understanding of the emotional, psychological, and social impact of abuse. This qualification is suitable for social workers, housing professionals, volunteers, educators, NGO staff, and anyone involved in community support services.
Domestic Abuse Specialisation
The domestic abuse specialisation builds vital competencies for supporting vulnerable individuals and managing risk situations. The programme covers support for families and individuals affected by domestic abuse, case management, and understanding domestic abuse within the broader context of gender-based violence and family dynamics.
It includes work with individuals who cause harm, intervention in cases involving older adults, as well as tailored approaches for young people. The training also discusses the role of the Independent Domestic Violence Advisor and working with victims assessed as being at medium risk in the context of Early Intervention Training.
Qualification Structure – Level 3 Diploma (30 credits)
Mandatory units (24 credits):
• The Core Skills of the Domestic Abuse Practitioner
• Supporting Families and Individuals Affected by Domestic Abuse
• Case Management for Clients Experiencing Domestic Abuse
• Understanding Domestic Abuse within the Context of Gender and Family Violence
Optional units (6 credits – select one):
• Understanding the Role of an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor
• Understanding the Role of a Young Person’s Violence Advisor
• Working with Medium Risk Victims of Domestic Violence
• Responding to Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse

Recognition and Accreditation
This programme is developed and delivered in collaboration with an OCN London accredited centre, an organisation recognised in the United Kingdom for the validation and regulation of vocational qualifications.
What You Can Do with This Qualification
The Level 3 qualification in Domestic Abuse: Prevention and Early Intervention provides both practical and theoretical skills for roles focused on safeguarding vulnerable people. You will develop competencies in risk assessment, early intervention, case management, and professional communication with individuals affected by abuse.
