Who I Am  

My name is Otilia Andreea Mutu.  

I am a Romanian woman of Roma heritage, now residing in the United Kingdom, where my life is drastically different from the one I once knew.  

From ages 18 to 29, I endured relationships plagued by domestic violence—physical, verbal, and financial.  

Eleven long years during which I lost sight of my true self.  

Now, I stand as an entrepreneur, an affiliate member paralegal, an author, and, most importantly, a public voice advocating for women empowerment, particularly for those who haven't yet found their voices.  

What I Do  

I am the CEO of OtiPro Ltd, a London-based lifestyle and support services company, which was honored in 2026 with the Prestige Awards for Hospitality Staffing Specialists of the Year in West London.  

In addition to my entrepreneurial journey, I founded the Lotus Justice & Support Centre, a vital resource for Romanian-speaking women in the UK who have experienced domestic abuse.  

Additionally, I volunteer with the Consulate General of Romania in London, focusing on domestic violence support and prevention.  

As an affiliate member paralegal with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Law. I am also a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) with the OCNLR Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Abuse: Prevention and Early Intervention.  

Why I Do This  

In my time of need, I found no one who knew how to help. I spent years searching for my voice, and other women simply cannot afford to waste those years.  

I do this for my children, who deserve to see a woman who no longer stays silent. I do it for the mother, sister, friend, or colleague of every woman listening. I advocate for our community, for Romania and the Roma heritage, striving for respect for our professionalism and courage, rather than the assumptions often placed upon us.  

Public Voice  

I authored the bilingual book Dincolo de Frică / Beyond Fear, launched in November 2025, reaching audiences in Romania, the United Kingdom, and beyond.  

The English edition was officially received by His Majesty King Charles III, with acknowledgement confirmed through an official message.  

I host a podcast of the same name and engage with audiences on my channels @otiliaamutu, aimed at empowering women aged 25 to 40.  

My story has been featured on Antena Stars, Antena 3 CNN, Prima TV, and in both Romanian and UK media.  

In 2025–2026, I was proud to be a finalist for the Romanian Excellence Trophy, a part of the Campaign for Romanian Excellence in the West.  

This recognition signifies that honest voices are heard, even when discussing topics that many prefer to avoid.
