The certification is officially recognised in the United Kingdom and meets OCN London Regulated standards.
The qualification is designed for individuals who work, or aspire to work, in roles involving the safeguarding of vulnerable people, community support, or direct intervention services.
The programme provides both practical and theoretical knowledge on the early identification of domestic abuse and on safe, effective intervention.
Learners develop applied skills to support people at risk and gain a clear understanding of the emotional, psychological and social impact of abuse.
This qualification is suitable for social workers, housing professionals, volunteers, educators, NGO staff and all those involved in community support services.
The domestic abuse specialisation builds essential competencies for supporting vulnerable individuals and managing risk situations. The programme covers support for families and individuals affected by domestic abuse, case management, and an understanding of domestic abuse within the wider context of gender-based violence and family dynamics.
It includes work with individuals who cause harm, intervention in cases involving older people, perpetrators or victims of violence, as well as approaches tailored to young people. The training also covers the role of the Independent Domestic Violence Advisor and working with victims assessed as being at medium risk.

• Case Management for Clients Experiencing Domestic Abuse
• Understanding Domestic Abuse within the Context of Gender and Family Violence

• Understanding the Role of an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor
• Understanding the Role of a Young Person’s Violence Advisor
• Working with Medium Risk Victims of Domestic Violence
• Responding to Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse
• Responding to Victims of Sexual Violence
• Responding to Older People Affected by Domestic Abuse

The Level 3 qualification in Domestic Abuse: Prevention and Early Intervention provides practical and theoretical skills for roles focused on safeguarding and supporting vulnerable people. You develop competencies in risk assessment, early intervention, case management and professional communication with individuals affected by abuse.
This qualification can be used as a foundation for direct support roles or as a progression route to further study in areas such as social work, counselling, child protection or community intervention.
