My Story
I am Otilia Mutu, first and foremost, a person of community.
Born in Bucharest and relocated to Constanța in 2007, I have since travelled extensively across Romania and the Republic of Moldova, building connections and contributing to meaningful initiatives.
I am a proud Romanian/Roma and British Citizen.
In 2010, I contributed to the early development of the Fântânele–Cogealac wind farm in Dobrogea — the first large-scale onshore wind project in Romania and Europe’s largest at the time as a co-founder of an electrical company involved in its implementation, working with major partners such as STRABAG.
This experience strengthened my commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and resilience.
As an activist, entrepreneur, and author of the upcoming book Beyond Fear (2025), my life’s work is dedicated to building bridges between people, institutions, and opportunities for positive change.
My community involvement is entirely non-political and I have no involvement in political activities.
Moreover, my social and humanitarian work is completely voluntary and not financially compensated.
My mission is to combat domestic violence and provide real support for women in the UK. I founded a multidisciplinary support group that aims to become the largest of its kind, uniting specialists from NGOs and public institutions to offer protection, guidance, and vital resources to those in need.
Beyond activism, I lead entrepreneurial initiatives through OTIPRO LTD — a UK company I own abroad, focused on property management,
where I combine innovation, resilience, and social responsibility.
I also manage or own other international ventures, one of them being www.logi.ae
I proudly serve as a volunteer for the Consulate General of Romania in London, strengthening ties with the Romanian community abroad, and as an ambassador for several organizations, including Cred în România, World Literacy Foundation, Femei Puternice, and as a sponsor of
Asociația Șansa Ta in Romania, supporting vulnerable children and families and Evenimente Caritabile UK, supporting vulnerable children and families.
My work reflects a simple belief: change begins with involvement, and every act of courage can transform fear into power, and vulnerability into hope.
My professional background in the United Kingdom includes multiple Ofqual-accredited qualifications, reflecting a lifelong commitment to excellence, ethics, and continuous learning:

VOLUNTEER
Since June 2025, I have had the honour of serving as a volunteer for the Consulate General of Romania in London, where I am actively involved in supporting the Romanian community across the United Kingdom. This role is entirely civic in nature, with no political involvement, and it allows me to contribute directly to strengthening the relationship between citizens and institutions through support, information, and representation initiatives.

The “Cred în România” Association is a non-profit, non-political, civic, and cultural movement that conveys a balanced message of optimism and trust in those around us. It supports the projects of ambitious young people, promotes ideas that transform communities, highlights positive news, and shares the stories of dignified Romanians. In doing so, it contributes to strengthening the sense of respect, belonging to the community, and self-confidence of every Romanian.
